I want to start by saying that this author comes across as a genuine person who truly wants to share wisdom that she has learned and this review is in no way an attack on her character. Just to share that prior to reading this book I had only listened to a recent podcast of hers. My first red flag was all of the advertisements and reminders to join her “premium club” membership. If you truly want to share Gods love and wisdom, you don’t sell it (like SOOOO many other bloggers do), unless of course you have a tangible product. The first few pages of this book made several valid points that I find pretty thought provoking. But after about page 17 I found things we’re getting very repetitive and I was being fed a lot of flowery words and phrases mingled with empty positive affirmations. The content in this book would be better suited in a daily desk calendar. It felt more like the target audience was for Catholics which is totally fine, she has the right to write to whomever she pleases. I did find it ironic that she, being Catholic, gave lots of advice to not add extras but maybe that was just me! This book has mostly positive reviews so I don’t know if this book just wasn’t my style or if I’m burned out from a screaming one year old!!!! :-)
